Andrew Harris – Optometrist
Andrew has been an optometrist for over 30 years and currently operates from the practice he opened in North Melbourne in 1990. He’s also spent time working at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, and in Indigenous communities both in Australia and Nepal.
Working with the community and within the broader industry is important to Andrew, and he currently sits on the board of Vision 2020, a national body championing eye health awareness and advocating for improved eye health outcomes – particularly for people who are disadvantaged and vulnerable.
He is a former president of Optometry Australia, Optometry Victoria and the Australian College of Optometry.
Originally trained at the University of Melbourne, Andrew has a lifelong commitment to keeping up with improvements in the field of Optometry, as well as helping others to learn by instructing students from both the University of Melbourne and Flinders University.
When Andrew is not in practice, he’s probably windsurfing or out walking his kelpie, Lazlo.
Linh Cao – Reception
When you give us a call you’ll most likely hear Linh’s cheery voice pick up the phone, happy to explain what we can do to assist you. She also speaks fluent Vietnamese for those community members for whom this would be easier.
Linh’s been with the practice for more than ten years keeping everything organised, booking appointments, and helping people with all kinds of tasks.
Nothing is too much trouble for Linh – whether it’s assisting you in selecting new frames, adjusting the fit of your glasses (new or existing), and most importantly making sure you get all the applicable Medicare and health insurance rebates you’re entitled to claim.
